Hello,
Michael and Mary Finnerty from the 1901 census are missing from 1911. Lovell's directory has them in Bordeaux ward and I found them there listed as Finnerly. If you look closely the line to cross the t is above the y. It was tricky to find because Bordeaux is listed in Laval rather than Cite de Montreal, which is written at the top of the page. I had a similar difficulty with Hochelaga listed as a separate city from Montreal rather than a part of it. Changing those listings would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi Jean -
I have entered a proofreader's correct in 1911 for the transcriber to evaluate, but with the dash over the y, it should clearly be Finnerty to me. I've also added links between the 1901 and 1911 records.
Thanks for your input. Mark |
