Re: Page 103
1906 Canada Census Melita Village (No. 11), Souris, Manitoba
the source document (ie: the actual handwritten census page)
does not match the transcription.. I was looking up the following:
34 23 Thompson Allan . . Head M M 52
35 23 Thompson Emma . Wife . F M 33
36 23 Thompson Gordon Son . .M S 07
37 23 Thompson Willie . . Son . .M S 05
38 23 Thompson Harold . Son . .M S 03
39 23 Thompson Lloyd . . Son . M S 01
40 23 Gillkenny Jessie . . . Serv . F S 20

Potential corrections:
Line 34: given name should be Allen.

Notes to accompany the transcription from the
records of Allen's grand uncle Joshua Thompson (1823-1917):
Line 34: Allen Edwin Thompson b 9 Jun 1855 Camden, Ontario
Line 35: Emma Jane (née Burwash) b 4 Mar 1871 Bruce, Ontario
Line 36: Gordon Maurice Thompson b 2 Sep 1899
Line 37: Willard Allen Thompson b 27 Dec 1900
Line 38: Lloyd Burwash Thompson b 31 Aug 1905
Another son, Stewart Nelson Thompson was born 16 Apr 1908
Allen Edwin Thompson was an MLA in Manitoba from 1899 to 1906,
when due to ill-health he moved to Vancouver, B.C., then again in
December 1909, due to continued ill-health he moved to Los Angeles
Co., California where he died 12 Feb 1910. He is buried in Mt. View
Cemetery in Vancouver, B.C.. He and his wife Emma Jane née Burwash
(1871-1942) were married in Cerritos, Los Angeles Co., California 1 Feb
1898. Their four oldest children were born in Manitoba, and their youngest
likely in Vancouver.

suzlizjohnson,

The 1906 image contains two pages (102 and 103). You have to scroll to the right to see page 103.

For line 34, the enumerator wrote "Allan" for the given name.

There are no line note capability for the 1906 census.

I did the 1901-1906 links for Thompson Allan, Emma, Gordon, Willie.
