Hi Barbara,

I want to suggest a couple of corrections for the two Borgstad families shown on this page:

http://automatedgenealogy.com/census06/ ... #highlight

1. For lines 1 to 4, I think that the surname should read Borgsted, not Borgstad,
2. Line 15: First name is Johanna, sex is F,
3. Line 16: First name is Austin.

That's all.

regards,

Enno

Enno,

I linked 1906 Borgstad Autin and Mary to their respestive 1901 and 1911 records.

I noticed the following tranbscription errors:
Line 15 "Johans" should read "Johanna" and the sex should read "F";
Line 17 "Mary" should read "May".

The only way a user can notify a transcriber of a required correction is to post the correction on the "1906 Corrections" subforum and by adding the transcriber's name as the first item on the subject line (see previous "1906 Corrections" posts).

Cheers,

Hi Alain,

Thanks for explaining. I also think that the Borgstad family at the top of the page should be transcribed as Borgsted. I think so, because if it were Borgstad, the character before the d at the end would have been the same as the a in Inga, which it is not. I will put that in my message to Barbara too.

I found these families, because someone on the RootsDev group pointed me to this site, and I liked to try the linking mechanism. These Borgstad and Borgsted families are not related to me, other than by surname similarity, but I found them to be an interesting case, especially because they appear to live at the same address in the 1901 census, and then split.

Thanks for creating those extra links too.

regards,

Enno

P.S. I changed contents and subject in the 1st message.

Hi Enno and Alain -

I agree with the suggested changes and they have been made.

Thanks for your input. Mark
