I got an email stating that my Grandmother's name had been changed to the suggested Hazel Kindry. I tried to find her in the 1911 census and she would not come up on Ancestry.ca or on here. I found the name had been changed to Hazel(?) which will not come up on a search. I want to add the census to my family tree but can't due to Ancestry.ca not allowing the ?. I think it was better when it was wrong as at least it was searchable. I have Linked 3 censuses together but the 1911 will not come up with her name. I think I was better off when it was a mistake. What do you require to get rid of the (?)?

Home / 1911 / Manitoba / MacDonald / 6 Township 8 in range 10 west of the 1st M / page 11 Line 39

My grandmother Hazel Kindry not Majory They have interpeted the name underneaths Willard's d as a y on my grandmothers name and the z as a j. The h is very clearly not a m if you know what the letter is suppose to be. It is not very clear what the original letters were.

Have submitted a correction to remove the (?), since Hazel is quite clear to me after magnification. Please note that the indexes are not changed automatically when a correction is made, but must wait to be re-built by a process initiated by the Admin., so that may be why your search was not successful. Thanks for your help.
