I would suggest that the entry located at 1911 Census of Canada
Home / 1911 / Alberta / MacLeod / 31 Nanton / page 3 for Henry Lacombe would more appropriately be interpreted as Henry Luscombe. I do agree that the 'u' looks like an 'a' but there is clearly an 's' after the 'a' and prior to 'combe'. The 1916 entry that I have added inlcudes Henry with his wife Rosaline and their children still resident in MacLoed Alberta area. The couple are noted to be recently from England and in both census and Henry is a butcher.
