Our grandmother and her parents and sister are on the 1911 Census. Toronto West (128) Ward 6, Sub-district #84. Page 4. They are on lines 25-28, family number 42, entered with the surname Clouney. Their surname is actually Calverley. The enumerator wrote the eldest daughter as Gladdis, and the correct spelling is Gladys.
They would appear on the 1901 Census in Dufferin, Lisgar, Manitoba, with surname Calverley, three people: Thomas, Anna (should be Annie), and Gladys with an incorrect spelling of Gladys' surname as Calverly.

Janice,

Lines 25-28 - The surname has been corrected to "Calverley". The faded writting makes it hard to read.
Line 25 - The given name has been corrected to "Thomas ?". I am not able to decipher the initial written by the enumerator.
Line 27 - The given name has been corrected to "Gladdis", which is what the enumerator wrote.

The policy of this site is to transcribe the names as written by the enumerator.

Thanks,
