correction to 1911 census for Ontario Ottawa St. George's Ward, #35, page 10, lines 43-48: surname of all 5 family members [Adam Elizabeth, Muriel, George and Lorraine] should be SHORTT [not shorst as currently transcribed]. The Shortt family built this home in 1908 and resided there for many years, Adam was the English languate Civil Service Commissioner for the Federal Government. This home is currently the Swiss embassy. thank you |
