On page 22, lines 41 thru 46, the Surname should be Petrie, not Peterie.

On line 45, the individual is named Leo not ?, he is a single male son, born in May 1906. I suspect that he was 4 or 5 when the census was taken. (Leo is my late father.)

Joseph,

Line 45 - the given name has been corrected to "Leo" and the following fields filled in to "M", "Son", "S", "May", "1906, "5".

The surname of lines 41-46 has not been changed from "Peterie" to "Petrie" because the enumerator clearly wrote "Peterie". It is the policy of this site to transcribe the name as the enumerator wrote them.

What if I find an error in the original census?
If the error is in the original census document:

- a surname note provides an alternate surname spelling and allows the members of this family to be identified in the result of a search done on this alternate spelling. When entering a surname note, indicate if it applies to the entire family or only to this individual. Also, please include the bibliographical reference to the source that corroborates the surname provided, and if applicable, add an associated note.

You will find much more information on this at Surname Notes

-for a discrepancy in the given name, gender, and/or date of birth - an online or off-line birth record link is the preferred way to annotate the correct information.

Cheers,
