Corrections to any transcription errors are normally made by the transcriber upon submissions of a suggested correction. Because quite a few transcriber have abandoned their transcribed pages, there are also a few adjudicator who presently evaluate and implement suggested corrections for 1901 and 1911 censuses; in view of the large amount of 1901 and 1911 census pages, this progress is relatively slow.

- a surname note provides an alternate surname spelling and allows the members of this family to be identified in the result of a search done on this alternate spelling.
