Good evening,

In perusing the site, I noted the following issues with the 1911 census:

http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/ ... anada+page

Ontario - Essex North - 29:Windsor

page 32

Line 30 - instead of Heles, it should read Hales. The original is a bit hard to read but to me it appears to be an 'a' rather than an 'e'. Plus, Walter is my great-grandfather and that is the correct address for him.

Line 31 - again, Hales rather than Heles. Her name is Caroline, not Carline.

Line 32 - Hales. You have already corrected it to Milton rather than Millon

Line 33 - Hales.

Line 34 - Hales. Also, it is not 'Eva' but 'Essie'. She was my great-grandfather's sister and lived with them at that time.

Please let me know if you need further information.

Regards,

Kristen L. Hales

Hello Kristen,

I have reviewed and updated all the requests for correction for that page. I have also established some links with 1901 and added some more requests for correction, intended for another adjudicator.

As you will see, I couldn't read Caroline instead of Carline. In that case, I suggested Ca?line and added a footnote. For the same reason, Essie isn't very legible. So, I proposed Ess? instead of Eva and added a footnote.

Thanks for your input,

Michel Dubois, Quebec City.

Hi Kristen and Michel -

I have reviewed and accepted the corrections, except I left line 31 as Carline. With your family knowledge that the true name is Caroline, it is reasonable to interpret what is actually written as Carline (as per the original transcriber's work).

Thanks to you both. Mark
