I have reviewed these entries and they clearly read Fey in 1901 and Fyk in 1906 and 1911. I accepted the corrections you or someone else had entered in 1911. I would encourage you to add surname notes for "Fyck" mentioning your source (the cemetery listing you mention). Thanks. Mark |

St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery Calder district R.M. of Calder # 241 NW 30-25-31 WI GPS 51.196677°N 101.809309°W First burial in 1899 Fyck, Anastasia (nee Brigidear) 1874 - 1954 Fyck, Doris (nee Zelaney) 1904 – 1964 Fyck, Eulogia (nee Diduch) 1875 - 1951 MOM Fyck, Metro 1912 - 1927 Fyck, Mike 1901 - 1989 Fyck, Mike 1903 - 1992 Fyck, Mykyta 1881 - 1964 DAD Fyck, Yacob 1869 – 1956 Please use these names for 1901, 1906 and 1911. Diana (Eftoda) Young – born and raised in Calder Sask area FYCK -Steve, beloved husband of Stephanie Fyck of Yorkton entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. He was 93 years of age. Steve was born on August 14, 1908 in the Calder district, a son of Miketa and Eudokia (nee Diduck) Fyck. He attended Mostetz and Torsk Schools and helped on the family farm. On October 5, 1941 Steve was united in marriage to Stephanie Kohanski. The couple farmed in the Calder district and raised two children. In 1975 they retired and built a home in Yorkton. During his many years farming. Steve was proud of his Certificate of Achievement for 52 years of weed free farming. He was a Co-op member and a faithful parishioner of St Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church. Steve leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 60 years. Stephanie; daughter Betty (Lorne) Palmer of Regina; son Walter of Calder; grandchildren, David (Kara) Fyck, Sherry (Grant) Lingren; Dean and Melissa Fyck, Cory and Brad Palmer and one great granddaughter Kacey Bree Fyck. Steve was predeceased by his parents, four+ +brothers, Mike, John, Metro and George in infancy and two sisters, Anne Dombroski and Mary Medwick. Prayer services were held on Thursday. May 30th at the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home. Requiem Divine Liturgy was celebrated on Friday, May 21st at St Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Yorkton with Rev. Father Vladimir Kolpakov, as the Celebrant. The cantor, Ed Pindus and members of the parish choir led in the singing of the responses. The epistle reader was Lorne Palmer and the cross bearer was Melissa Fyck. The interment followed in the Garden of Crucifixion, Yorkton Memorial Gardens with David Fyck, Dean Fyck, Cory Palmer, Brad Palmer, Owen Kohanski and Colin Boehm serving as the casket bearers |
