Are we ready to offer our collective work to index the 1921 Canadian census? If so, could someone communicate with LAC?

We cannot consider indexing the 1921 census until LAC puts the images on line.

Of course, I understand. I thought that they could have contacted you already, since I have noticed that all the other Canadian census housed by LAC are currently offering a searchable index.

I believe LAC have their own agenda. I learned yesterday that the images of the 1921 census are already available on Ancestry.ca... for free... for a time anyway!

Go figure!!!!
