Good Morning

I would like to make a suggestion that some able bodied people be given the authority to check the corrections that have been suggested. Lets get some of these pages cleaned up. I am working in an area where there are many suggested correction and I find it very difficult to do the linking. I have spent countless hours (as many others have) only to see our work just sit there. What I have been proofreading and linking will have to be gone over again to do the rest of the linking when the 1901 is corrected so as to find the people. I for one would be quite willing to stop proofing for a while and do so cleaning of the pages already proofed.

I agree with the above message. Sometimes I wonder why I bother to proof (except I'm an addict!) as it is so seldom our corrections get handled by the original transcriber.There are pages I proofed years ago that remain with outstanding corrections - makes for a lot more work to link and probably frustration for those searching for ancestors.More people need to be finishing off these pages.
I didn't know this new board existed -hope it takes care of the abuse!
