http://automatedgenealogy.com/uidlinks/ ... =150690400Please remove the link to the 1901 record of Ernest Neveu from this group.
There weren't many Ernest Neveus in this world, but two of them were born in Québec in 1877, which has led someone to believe that the Ernest Neveu living in Mtl in 1901 and married to Eugenie was the same person as the one married to Henriette who shows up in Manitoba in 1911. These are two different people. The Montreal Ernest, son of Ernest Neveu and Amanda Chapdelaine, was born in Montréal on August 28, 1877. The Manitoba Ernest, son of David Neveu and Adéline Larochelle, was born at St-Simon de Bagot on March 4, 1877. I cannot find Manitoba's Ernest in the 1901 census (yet), but his sister and brother are both in Manitoba in 1901. I have seen the marriage record where his parents are named. Both he and his sister married into my husband's family, so I am absolutely certain of my facts on this. I hope there is an easy way for you to disconnect Mtl. Ernest from Manitoba Ernest.
BTW, keep up the good work. I don't know what we'd do without you! Actually, the two weeks Automated Genealogy was down gave us a good idea of what a world without AG would be like! Thanx for everything.
Pat.
