Hello,

Four sectors of the Petite Magdeleine subdistrict have the same numbering scheme starting at 1.

http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/ ... anada+page

So, eight pages in the first three sectors should be renumbered by the addition of 1000, 2000 and 3000. The fourth sector could be left as is, starting at 1.

I'm available to do that job progressively with the proper authority. Otherwise, a program could do it.

Thanks,

Michel Dubois. Quebec city.

Hi Michel -

Unfortunately I've seen many, many sub-districts in 1911 with repeated household numbers. I think it comes from the much larger sub-districts than in 1901, which were therefore more likely to have been transcribed by different people.

Like you, I have adjudication privileges for 1901 only (I'm comfortable keeping to 1901 as there is more than enough work to keep me/us busy for a long time) so can't help here.

Cheers, Mark

Hello Mark,

I'm glad to see you here today. Like you said there is still a lot to accomplish in 1901, but a lot has been done so far by all the volunteers. Compared to others, we must be proud of the quality of the AG data.

So, we all deserve to graduate in the major 1911 league. Why? Mainly, because there very often questions about the family surnames that ought to be corrected in 1911.

So, I wish the best for you and ... I.

Wink.

Michel Dubois.

Hello Marilyn,

Great! The problem is now cleared after the action of a magic wand. However, the fabulous "+1000" program should be improved to avoid adding 1000 to a blank HH.

I posted a message on each of the added pages (1 through 8):

http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/ ... anada+page

Finally, a duty left to others: accept the requests to blank HHs previously void, on pages 3, 6 and 8.

Thanks so much,

Michel Dubois, Quebec city.

Hello Mark,

Thanks so much for doing chores in the Gaspé Petite Magdeleine pages.

I also accepted a few corrections on your pages in the Montreal vicinity. Those pages should now be clean.

Cheers,

Michel.
