I have received a lot of corrections back from a transcriber who has his own thoughts. They all involve a correction done in 1911 by the enumerator or supervisor because of an obvious error. In this case "son" was written over by "Dau". I say "Dau" would be the final entry on the document and should be used-he says because the enumerator didn't write "Dau" on the doorstep, the original "Son" should stay.
He is also disputing every year that was corrected on the original and going back to the date that was changed because it was erroneous. There are a lot of them and we are going back and forth.
this page has the "Son""Dau" problem : http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/censu ... ramed=true

another page:

dates questioned :

Please clarify -to me it makes sense they were corrected in 1911 and the last record should be the one transcribed.
Thanks - Cheryl

Cheryl,

I agree that the corrected version on the original document should be used.
Adjudication was performed on the ref. enumeration districts.

Cheers,
