Post subject: | Missing census pages for Alfred Gibson and Family |
Have found 1911 transcription for Alfred Gibson, wife Florence and 4 children on LDS Family search (citing census, Maisonneuve Su-Districts 69-126, Quebec,Canada) but, cannot find original page in search of original census.. They, Lds, also reference Household ID 104, Line # 29, GS Film # 002418556, Folder # 007526682 and Image # 00921. Why would LDS record data and not show up in Automated Genealogy? Anyone have a suggestion? |

Hello, The family has been transcribed under the surname Gibeau: http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/ ... ?id=101574 I've asked for corrections and another adjudicator could complete the updating. Thanks for your request, Michel Dubois, Quebec City. |

Thanks Michel. They are grandparents of my wife that include her mother Doris. Have had hard time finding this record and fact grandfather change his name to "Alfred" from Edward didn't help matters coupled with the the Gibeau edit. For confirmation you will find family tree record at: http://www.gervaistree.ca/wc02/wc02_350.htm |

Hello, I also checked the Library and Archives Canada (LAC) site and the family is recorded there as Gibsom. No luck for the family! http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/fra/recensemen ... id=8872203 So, I sent them a request for correction, but I don't have any idea when they'll proceed to the updating. Their daughter Gertrude is recorded as Godfryl on the Family search site and isn't very legible on the Automatedgenealogy site. This is why I suggested my best guess based on the "transcribe as written rule" which turns out to be Godfrid. Thanks for your follow-up, Michel Dubois, Quebec City. |

Hi Michel and Josart - I have accepted the correction to Gibson, but have an alternative suggestion for the youngest daughter's name - I read "Gerdrud". Michel, you could accept my correction, or delete if you disagree. Thanks. Mark |
