Hello, Many lines to remove or renumber in Tingwick: http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/ ... ?id=105847 I couldn't do this type of corrections with my actual profile of permissions. An 'Edit line function' would be appreciated. Thanks so much. Michel Dubois, Quebec City. |

Bonjour Michel - Lindsay has added a "Renumber lines" function at the bottom of each 1911 for those with adjudication authorisation. He had already created a "Increment line number" function, to create a space between existing lines to add a line using the "Transcription form" function. To remove duplicate lines we need to go to the proof page and on the extreme right of each line should be a "del" button. If you don't see any of these functions, let me know and I will get him to activate it/them for you. What a mess on this page! I think there were 3 missed lines and 3 duplicates, which I have now corrected. The process I follow was to delete the surplus lines first. I then used the "Increment line number" where there was a missing line and then add the missing line using the "Transcription form". And after all that I ran the "Renumber lines" function. I have also put in a number of corrections. I am sure there are more so I have not claimed the page as proofread. Would you please also take care of the HH number corrections I have put on page 10. Thanks. Mark |

Hello Mark, There was a lot to do on that page. Thanks so much. I added some links and left a few more requests for correction on that page. I also reviewed all your requests for correction on that sector. Thanks also for your very good explanations on the lines management. I already experimented a line insertion on the following page: http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/ ... ?id=105845 The transcriber missed line 47 and posted the last record twice. Since I'm not granted the 'delete line' permission, I couldn't remove line 51. Have a good weekend. Michel. |
