I am a volunteer at the Glover (VT) Historical Society. I just finished transcribing a 1881 letter that was in our archives written by Ezra Cleveland of Barnston to "Mr. Wilder.' (After looking at records on Ancestry.com, I realize Mr. Wilder was his son-in-law, who had deserted his family. Mr. Cleveland was trying to shame him into returning to Barnston to take responsibility for his wife and children. (It appears that his wife, Abbie Cleveland Wilder, remarried the very next year, so Ezra Wilder must not have returned. I have no idea why the letter ended up with the Norton family papers in Glover, VT. I have scanned the letter and would like to pass the scan and transcription on to a local historical society in the Barnston area so it would be available to others interested.
