How do I submit a correction to 1991 transcript error? The Line in questions is 1991 Census/Victoria-Haliburton; Lindsay 61 -g 3 Line 5 (entry for John Sinclair) --transcribed as place of birth "O" --but if you look at original - it is a Q for Quebec
great grandfather so trying to correct information in transcription
The links to proof page doesn't not work / or will not allow me to add a note or correction to this entry
Thanks

In order to proof or enter notes, you must be registered. Where do you find the 'place of birth' entered? The only 'extra' field I can remember for the 1911 census is the 'street address' in column 4.

Gord is correct. The Automated Genealogy site has created an index for the 1911 index which includes column 2 to 10 (column 4 is optional) but does not transcribe the other columns, such as column 11 "Country of place of birth". However the Q for Quebec would be visible to anyone who finds John Sinclair via the index and chooses to view the original image. In my opinion no correction or line note is necessary.

Thanks for your input. Mark
