While there have certainly been problems in prior years, solutions were found for many of them and, as a someone who is using the site multiple times each and every day, I can state that the system has been highly responsive over the past 6 months. That is not to say that it has been perfect however. There is an auto check/reset function set for every 15 minutes. If you encounter slowness or an error message, we recommend you turn your attention elsewhere and come back to the site in 20 minutes or so to allow the auto check/reset time to do its work. There are very occasionally (I can't remember the last time - maybe only once so far in 2021) problems that don't get fixed automatically. A post here or to the Facebook Automated Genealogy Users Group will help alert us that there is a more serious problem.
Please remember that this site is entirely volunteer-run, with no charge to users and all costs paid out of our own pockets. We are doing the best we can.
