Names error In the 1906 census of district 312 Assiniboia West page 6 and 7 lines 141 to 142. These people are my relatives. line 141 row 22 has the name John as the head of household. The correct name would have been Emile Edward Victor or Victor Emile Edward. birth place shown is DEU, however, they emigrated from Belgium. line 141 row 23 shows Mary. This is Petranella Polina/Pauline married to Dewolf -married to line 141. ( this name shows as tanlin in the 1901 Manitoba census) row 24 shows EL which is Edward, row 25 shows julen which is Jules, row26 shows GEO which is George, row27 shows Luel which would have been Louise. Missing from the record is Eulodia or Julia as she is more commonly called by the family.
Line 142 row 28 is Joseph DeWolf brother to what shows as Mary. The question here is, it shows Joseph as being from Ontario, which is funny because he was born In Belgium. He can be found trying to become a Canadian citizen in 1932.
I am new to correcting records or to adding information which makes the census more usable and am looking for assistance.

Amended the subject which will alert the transcriber that a change is required Luel vs Luce. Otherwise the transcription reflects accurately what the enumerator wrote |
