I'm not sure where to post this as there's no subforum for the 1916 census, but I have a question.

On Ancestry.com (the free site; I don't have a subscription), it lists Mary and James Salaba as living in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. These are my great great grandparents and this is the first census I could find them in - they're very hard to track down! The thing is, when I looked at the census through Library and Archives Canada, I couldn't find any Salabas living in Moose Jaw. This is the information found on Ancestry:

Additionally, the Saskatchewan Virtual War Memorial says they lived near Punnichy in 1907 and later moved to Willow Bunch in early 1916. I can't find them on the 1911 census either, however there was a V. Salaba, born in 1884, listed on the Humboldt form. I couldn't read his homestead numbers, but I do know a Valcav Salaba homesteaded near Punnichy. The Saskatchewan death index has a Vachia Salaba deceased in 1913, but I don't know if I'm related to him or the other Valcav near Punnichy.

Does anyone have any tips or information, or should I just get a subscription to Ancestry? I know they also used to live near Willow Bunch. This Moose Jaw information is new to me. Thanks in advance!

Saskatchewan, District Name = Moose Jaw, District Number = 23, Sub District Number = 4, page 15.
