The 1911 transcription has been completed.

Many thanks to all who participated in the last transcription push.

I see thhat great stride have been accomplished in the past few month in the transcription of the last few subdistricts of the 1911 census.

Only 7 pages in 5 subdistricts are left to complete the whole 1911 census transcription.

Cheers,

Alain,

I have transcribed the 4 pages outside Quebec, but have only claimed the two pages in Manitoba.

I am stumped on the surname(s) of the Scottish family - HH # 255 on the Alberta MacLeod ED 18 page 19 (lines 15 thru 24) and so have not claimed this page. I have checked the transcription done by Ancestry in the hope of finding a hint to the family in the 1906 Census (they arrived in Canada in 1905). No luck.... Any solid suggestions would be appreciated.

The other page in Alberta - Medicine Hat ED 24 - Page 15 is also not claimed. Bad handwriting, apparently a railroad worker camp with too many immigrant names that I am not comfortable with. Again, no help from viewing the Ancestry transcriptions.

The three pages in Quebec, I would say are NOT capable of being transcribed. Over exposed images. Lindsay's call but at least we transcribed one more page than Ancestry did!!! They don't even bother showing the images.

Cheers

Dan

According to Alberta Homestead the Surname is Ralson, William Wallace. It can sort of been seen when one knows what it is suppose to be, I think.
Hope this helps.

THANK YOU Dot!

I have entered the name Ralson for 1911. I would never have gotten an "R" as the first letter but, as you state, once you know what you are looking for.....These guys are sure difficult to find!
I've looked at AG transcripton for 1906; the Latter Day Saints for 1906, 1911 and 1916 and the Ancestry site for 1911 and 1916, with no luck. I have done marriage and death searches for B.C in the event that any of them came to B.C. and even searched Manitoba.

I wonder why they are so difficult to find!!

Thanks once again and have a good night!

Dan

Hello Dan
Re: Alberta MacLeod ED 18 page 19
Line #1 surname is Ethridge according to Alberta Homestead

I have offered a couple of other suggestions on the page.

Oh boy ....
Checking at Western Land Grants, they have William Wallace Robson instead of Ralson

Dot,

Alberta MacLeod ED 18 page 19 - The page is now claimed.
The family we were looking for turned out to be Robson, which is supported by the LDS Scottish Birth record: the 1906 Census and the 1916 Census.

Thank you for all your help!

Dan

Hello Alain,

I would love to transcribe but those 3 pages are totally unreadable in Temiscouata. Sorry.

See you,

Michel.

Thanks to all for the last push to complete the transcription of the 1911 census.

As for Qué, Temiscouata, 42 - Fraserville, pages4, 14 & 15, Lindsay has put a note on the District Summary page stating that the images of these pages are unreadable.

Cheers,
