When I linked a couple of persons from two families accross the 1901, 1906, and 1911 censuses, I found a message about family links on my screen, and clicked that too. It worked in a way, but where I joined persons from three censuses in a single stroke, I didn't find something similar for families. Can anyone tell me how that works, precisely.

The families I'm working with start as a single household number 19 in the 1901 census on this page:

In the 1906 census it shows that the lodger Ole and his wife have moved out and created their own family, with 2 kids in 1906. 4 in 1911.

Question 1: How can I use the family link feature on the 1906 and 1911 for Ole & Inga and their offspring?

Question 2: Should be 1 ... What's the use of family links? Is it just an aid to create person links for other members of a family where one such link already exists?
