Hi Peglegge -
Apologies for being slow to respond. In the intervening time have you gone back and still had trouble signing in?
It is a little difficult to figure out what might be going on for you so please bear with me as we try and sort this out. I have just proofread a page myself and I was able to sign on, enter suggested corrections and claim proofreader credit without problems so the system in general is working as it should. Were you able to enter suggested corrections as you worked on the page? As I am sure you have experienced, it you go away from the site for a while it will automatically log you out and it sounds as if this happened but you then had trouble signing back in. Could you send me a link to the page you were working on?
I doubt this is related to your issue but one thing that has thrown me in the past is that
www.automatedgenealogy.com and automatedgenealogy.com (without the www) both work and the same sign-in user name and password can be used on either but if you sign in on a page with
www.auto... you will appear not to be signed in on a auto... page, and vice versa. It is best to chose one format or the other and stick to it.
Thank you for your proofreading effort. I know from experience that some pages can be exceedingly difficult and/or time consuming. It is the combined efforts of transcribers and proofreaders, especially when they have local knowledge, make for such an impressive index.
